Responsible for the design, implementation, testing and customer-sitecommissioning of controls equipment, machinery, software and automationsystems working in a project team environment.
Responsibilities
Develops control and automation system designs bystudying project concepts, objectives and requirements while evaluatingproducts, technologies, and systems to meet project and customerspecifications.
- Develops automation design plans byresearching, analyzing, selecting and applying engineering concepts,control systems, robotics, PLCs, and other automation equipment.
- Designsand implements software for PLCs (Programable Logic Controllers),Robots, HMIs (Human Machine Interface) and other automation equipmentbased on project scope and requirements.
- Implements automation systems designs by providing installation, start-up/commissioning, and technical support.
- Verifiesand validates system design performance by establishing and executingsystem test standards. Building and testing simulations and models whileconducting compatibility evaluations and analyzing data to identify andresolve performance problems.
- Documents engineeringdesign by recording design features, functions operational requirementsalong with detailing safety and support requirements and operatingprocedures.
- Provides updates to project manager pertaining to status of activities, performance to schedule and to budget.
- Continual learning by tracking and understanding emerging technologies and practices.
- Participate in proposal development activities.
