Qualifications

  • Bachelor's or Associate's Degree in Electronics.
  • Minimum 2 years of PLC programming experience.
  • Proficiency in Microsoft Office for documentation.
  • CAD experience for schematic documentation.
  • Experience with vision systems is a valuable asset.
  • Strong problem-solving skills with meticulous attention to detail.

Job description

Constellation Search Group is looking for a Controls Engineer for a full-time direct hire position. The Controls Engineer will be responsible for developing and optimizing Programmable Logical Controls (PLCs) to improve machine efficiency. This role involves designing control systems for automated machinery while researching and selecting new components. The Controls Engineer will also collaborate with various systems to ensure optimal performance and integration.

Responsibilities
  • Develop and optimize PLCs to enhance machine efficiency by reducing cycle times, increasing uptime, and minimizing operator intervention.
  • Design control systems for automated machinery, including research and selection of new components, creating panel layouts and schematics, programming, and troubleshooting.
  • Collaborate with various systems, including PLCs, servo systems, stepper systems, Human-Machine Interfaces (HMIs), power supplies, motion controllers, and communication loops.
Qualifications
  • Bachelor's or Associate's Degree in Electronics.
  • At least 2 years of prior experience in programming PLCs.
  • Proficiency in using Microsoft Office for documentation.
  • CAD experience for schematic documentation.
  • Experience with vision systems is a valuable asset.
  • Strong problem-solving skills with meticulous attention to detail.
