EnerSys is seeking a controls engineer to lead plant-wide and corporate projects to optimize, upgrade, and enhance control systems for manufacturing equipment.
You will work with a cross-functional team of engineering, manufacturing, and quality assurance personnel to develop and improve machine concepts, manage scope, schedule, and budgets, and support maintenance and operations with technical expertise.
The controls engineer will lead plant-wide and corporate-wide projects to optimize, upgrade, and enhance the controls systems of our manufacturing equipment. The controls engineer will work to develop and improve machine and process concepts with a cross‑functional team including other engineering, manufacturing, and quality assurance personnel. The controls engineer will also manage project scope, schedule, and budget. This position will work closely with project engineering, process engineering, and maintenance.
Basic understanding of PID and process control.
Education and/or Experience: BS degree or equivalent experience in engineering.
1–3+ years experience working in a manufacturing environment.
Language Skills: College level written and verbal English skills.
Mathematical Skills: College level Geometry, Algebra, and Trigonometry.
Reasoning Ability: Strong root cause problem solving, visualization, and quality tools.
Computer Skills: Microsoft Office programs.
Certificates, Licenses, Registrations: None.
Other Skills and Abilities: Planning, analytical, assertive, and interact with various groups.
