Job summary

C.H. Guenther & Son, Inc. is seeking a Maintenance Controls Specialist to manage and optimize control systems across our food manufacturing equipment.

You will troubleshoot PLCs, HMIs, and SCADA, while performing preventive electrical maintenance to minimize downtime and ensure safe, compliant operation. The role requires problem-solving skills, attention to detail, and the ability to work with cross-functional teams in a fast-paced plant environment.

Qualifications

• Proficiency in PLC programming (Allen-Bradley, Siemens) and SCADA familiarity.
• Strong electrical system knowledge: motors, drives, sensors, and control panels.
• Experience in maintenance and troubleshooting in a manufacturing setting, preferably food industry.

Responsibilities

• Maintain control systems for various manufacturing equipment and processes; troubleshoot PLCs, HMIs, and SCADA; optimize control strategies.
• Perform preventive maintenance on electrical systems including motors, drives, sensors, and components.
• Adhere to safety regulations; conduct inspections and participate in safety training.
• Identify opportunities for process improvement and automation to boost productivity.
• Document maintenance activities and technical configurations; support non-standard hours when needed.
