Job summary

Johnson Controls, Inc. in Wisconsin is seeking an experienced electrical installer to support customers in the Appleton and Wausau areas. Under general supervision, you will install and checkout systems, following codes, drawings, and company procedures.

You will work with Prime electrical contractors, develop a positive interface with customers, and ensure confidence and satisfaction with system installation. A valid driver's license and formal training in low voltage installation are required.

Qualifications

• Formal training in low voltage electrical installation techniques.
• Experience with conduit - bending and running.
• Ability to read and interpret drawings.
• Working knowledge of local codes as it applies to controls.
• Able to work independently.
• Must have a valid driver's license.

Responsibilities

• Installs raceways, cables and wiring to meet local or national codes, standards and customer system requirements.
• Mounts and terminates controls equipment as needed.
• Determines and validates final termination points to equipment interfaced with the installed system.
• Checks out wiring and terminations of field-installed equipment with test instruments as needed.
• Keeps management informed of job needs, progress and issues.
• Completes paperwork, including time sheets, expense reports, and on-site documentation.
• Resolves job site conflicts and escalates as required.
• Communicates with the customer on arrival and before leaving the work site.
• Adheres to Johnson Controls safety programs and policies.
• Performs other related duties as assigned.
