Job summary

Johnson Controls is looking for an on-site electrical installation technician in South Carolina. You will install and commission building control systems, interfacing with contractors and customers to ensure reliable operation.

The role emphasizes reading drawings, adhering to local codes, and applying the company’s safety standards while delivering high-quality mechanical and electrical work.

Qualifications

• Electrical apprenticeship or formal training in electrical installation techniques.
• Ability to read and interpret drawings.
• Knowledge of local codes as they apply to controls.
• Experience determining installation material scopes and working independently.

Responsibilities

• Install raceways, cables and wiring per codes and specifications.
• Mount and terminate control equipment as needed.
• Assist sales with electrical estimates for retrofit projects.
• Determine and validate final termination points for interfaced equipment.
• Check wiring and terminations with test instruments.
• Keep drawings and paperwork up to date; provide site feedback.
