Job summary

Johnson Controls in the United States is seeking an electrical installation professional to perform installation and checkout on building systems, following codes and drawings. You will work with prime electrical contractors and interact with customers to ensure confidence and satisfaction with the installation.

The role requires electrical apprenticeship or formal training, ability to read drawings, and knowledge of local codes.

Qualifications

Electrical apprenticeship or formal training in electrical installation techniques.
Ability to read and interpret drawings.
Working knowledge of local codes as applied to controls.
Ability to determine installation material scope and work independently.
Four years’ experience directly with controls installations (preferred).

Responsibilities

Installs raceways, cables and wiring to meet codes and standards.
Mounts and terminates controls equipment as needed.
May assist sales with electrical estimates for retrofit projects.
Determines final termination points to equipment interfaced with the installed system.
Checks wiring terminations with test instruments and verifies system readiness.
Keeps management informed of job needs, progress and issues.
Completes paperwork and as-built drawings; provides feedback to engineering.
Resolves site conflicts and communicates with customers on arrival and departure.
Adheres to safety programs and policies; performs other duties as assigned.
