Job summary

Dematic is seeking a Solution Design Controls Engineer to join our Customer Service Solution Development team in estimatingControls solutions for our customers. The role focuses on understanding material handling systems that integrate electrical controls hardware, programming, and software to deliver optimized solutions.

You will read schematics and PLC programs, complete technical follow-ups, and work with teams to improve productivity and customer satisfaction.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in engineering.
• 5+ years in controls engineering and material handling.
• Experience in designing and commissioning automated material handling systems.
• Proficient in Rockwell RSLogix PLC programming.
• Understanding of serial and ethernet-based communications.

Responsibilities

• Estimate controls solutions for customers.
• Read schematics and PLC programs; follow up on technical details.
• Propose productivity improvements and cost reductions.
• Provide knowledge transfer to team members.
• Discuss and resolve complex problems with the team.
• Travel 10% (max 20%) to customer and Dematic locations.
