Job summary

Jobot is seeking a skilled Controls Technician in Troy, AL to support and maintain our automated systems. This permanent, on-site role offers a salary range of $60,000-$120,000 per year and a comprehensive benefits package.

The ideal candidate has at least 5 years' experience in controls and automation, strong PLC knowledge, sensors, drives, and 3-phase electrical systems. You will troubleshoot, repair, and help design new control solutions while working with engineering to improve operations.

Qualifications

• Minimum 5 years' experience in controls & automation maintenance.
• Extensive knowledge of PLC, sensors, drives and 3-phase electrical systems.
• Experience maintaining, troubleshooting and repairing control systems.
• Strong understanding of control system design and implementation.
• Excellent problem-solving and communication skills.
• Engineering degree preferred.
• Able to work in a fast-paced environment.
• Commitment to continuous learning.

Responsibilities

• Maintaining, troubleshooting, and repairing complex control systems, including PLC, sensors, drives, and 3 phase electrical systems.
• Performing preventative maintenance on all control systems to minimize downtime and maximize productivity.
• Assisting in the design and implementation of new control systems, ensuring they meet the needs of our operations.
• Collaborating with the engineering team to identify and implement improvements to our existing systems.
• Providing technical support and training to other team members to ensure they understand and can effectively use our control systems.
• Keeping up-to-date with the latest developments in control systems technology and applying this knowledge to your work.
• Ensuring all work is carried out in a safe and efficient manner, in accordance with company policies and procedures.
