Job summary

DNV in Austin, TX seeks an Electrical/Industrial Engineer to lead engineering execution and coordination for industrial automation and utility-scale energy projects. You will focus on electrical systems integration, project execution, documentation control, and process optimization.

The role requires strong technical knowledge and proven ability to coordinate across multidisciplinary teams, manage interfaces with field devices, PLCs, SCADA, and vendors, and travel to site for testing.

Qualifications

BS in Electrical Engineering, Industrial Engineering, or related field.
2+ years of experience in industrial, electrical, or utility-scale engineering projects.
Experience with engineering drawings, technical documentation and project specifications.

Responsibilities

Drive technical activities throughout project lifecycle.
Perform electrical design reviews and equipment integration.
Review and validate panel layouts, I/O lists, network architectures, and single-line diagrams.
Manage technical interfaces between field devices, PLCs, SCADA systems, and utility communication networks.
Track engineering deliverables, schedules, risks, and customer requirements.
Coordinate technical requirements with suppliers and vendors and contribute to equipment selection and procurement activities.
Execute commissioning and startup activities, including system testing and troubleshooting.
Develop and maintain engineering documentation and operating procedures.
