Job summary

Mixer Systems, Inc. seeks a Controls Application Engineer to bridge engineering, manufacturing, and customers, supporting batching control systems from installation through commissioning. You will verify I/O, troubleshoot issues, and optimize system performance with PLCs and HMIs.

Required: degree in electrical/related field and 3+ years of experience with PLCs, HMIs, and electrical schematics. Travel to customer sites for startup and support may be involved.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in Electrical Engineering, Electrical Engineering Technology, Mechatronics, Automation, or related field; equivalent experience may be considered.
• 3+ years supporting industrial control systems, automation equipment, or electrical systems.
• Experience commissioning, troubleshooting, or supporting PLC-based industrial equipment.
• Reading and interpreting electrical schematics and wiring diagrams.
• Strong troubleshooting, communication, and organization skills.

Responsibilities

• Support startup, commissioning, and validation of batching plants and related equipment.
• Perform I/O verification, system testing, and operational checks prior to customer startup.
• Troubleshoot electrical and control system issues during manufacturing, commissioning, and customer support activities.
• Modify existing PLC and HMI programs to support functionality and customer requirements.
• Assist with system optimization and continuous improvement initiatives.
• Verify operation of motors, VFDs, sensors, and control devices; assist in remote and on-site troubleshooting.
• Provide technical assistance during installation, startup, and training of customers.
