Job summary

Jobot is hiring a Controls & Automation Technician for the 3rd shift in Lathrop, CA. The role offers $38.50 per hour with quarterly bonuses and strong benefits.

You will troubleshoot and maintain PLCs, HMIs, VFDs, and robotic systems while supporting upgrades and continuous improvement in a food and beverage manufacturing environment. Ideal candidates have 2+ years in industrial automation, experience with Allen-Bradley PLCs, and a solid understanding of electrical schematics and motion control.

Qualifications

• 2+ years of experience in industrial automation, controls, or electrical systems.
• Experience with PLC programming and troubleshooting; Allen-Bradley preferred.
• Experience with instrumentation, electrical schematics, and motion control.
• Strong understanding of industrial electrical systems and automated equipment.
• Experience troubleshooting HMIs, VFDs, robotics, sensors, and related controls equipment.
• Ability to support automation upgrades, commissioning, and continuous improvement.
• Strong safety focus and commitment to following applicable safety and FDA standards.

Responsibilities

• Troubleshoot, maintain, and repair PLCs, HMIs, VFDs, and robotic systems.
• Diagnose and repair electrical wiring, sensors, and instrumentation.
• Troubleshoot and interpret electrical schematics.
• Support automation upgrades, equipment commissioning, and continuous improvement initiatives.
• Perform PLC programming and troubleshooting, with an emphasis on Allen-Bradley systems.
• Support motion-control applications and automated production equipment.
• Maintain accurate technical documentation and records.
• Ensure automation and electrical systems comply with safety and FDA standards.
• Help maintain reliable, efficient production operations.
• Collaborate with team members to diagnose equipment issues and implement effective solutions.
