Job summary

Talentedge Recruitment Limited in New York City seeks a Controller for a Series B SaaS business. This hybrid role requires three days per week in Midtown office and offers a strong compensation package.

You will own in-house accounting, lead multi-entity month-end close, ensure ASC 606 revenue recognition, and oversee the annual Big 4 audit. Ideal candidate is a Big 4 CPA with US GAAP grounding and a proven automation-first approach.

Qualifications

• Big 4 CPA qualified (a must).
• First accounting hire with automation-first processes and controls.
• Experience scaling ARR from $30m to $100m+.
• Strong US GAAP and ASC 606 grounding.
• Confident business partner to Legal/Commercial & GTM.
• International entity & consolidations experience.

Responsibilities

• Lead multi-entity month-end close with internal/external partners.
• Adopt modern AI infrastructure to support growth.
• Ensure accurate revenue recognition under ASC 606.
• Lead annual Big 4 audit.
• Ensure state and international tax compliance for all entities.

Key responsibilities:

• In-house accounting from Outsourced Partners, build and lead multi-entity month end close process with analysis and commentaries
• Adopt modern AI infrastructure, continually building for the future
• Ensure accurate revenue recognition according to ASC 606
• Lead annual Big 4 audit
• Ensure that all entities meet their state and international tax compliance requirements and obligations

Candidate profile:

• Big 4 CPA qualified (a must)
• Has operated as the first accounting hire & built automation-first processes and controls from the ground up
• Experienced scale from $30m ARR - $100m+ ARR
• Strong US GAAP and ASC 606 grounding
• Confident business partner to Legal / Commercial & GTM functions
• International entity & consolidations experience
