Job Title: Controller

This is a “right hand to the CEO” position with direct influence on the company’s financial health.

Position Summary

The Controller will be responsible for overseeing daily accounting operations, managing existing resources, financial reporting, internal controls, and compliance across all entities. This hands-on leadership role requires deep knowledge of GAAP, multi-entity consolidation, and some international accounting practices. The ideal candidate will bring strategic insight, process discipline, and a growth-oriented mindset focused on automation and transparency.

Key Responsibilities

1. Lead and manage all accounting operations including GL, AR/AP, payroll, and bank reconciliations.
2. Supervise the monthly close process and prepare consolidated financial statements across multiple entities and currencies.
3. Develop, document, and maintain internal controls, accounting policies, and financial procedures.
4. Ensure compliance with U.S. GAAP, federal and state regulations, and international requirements for Brazil and the Philippines.
5. Manage budgeting, forecasting, and cash flow planning in collaboration with executive leadership.
6. Partner with external CPAs, auditors, legal counsel, and tax advisors for timely and accurate filings.
7. Oversee accounting team members, including offshore resources and the U.S.-based Accounting Manager.
8. Improve and automate accounting processes and systems to support company growth.
9. Provide detailed financial analysis and insights to aid strategic decision-making.
10. Support M&A activities, intercompany loan structuring, and due diligence efforts.

Qualifications

1. Bachelor’s degree in Accounting, Finance, or related field (CPA required).
2. 7+ years of accounting experience, including at least 3 years in a Controller or similar leadership role.
3. Experience with multi-entity and international operations, especially LATAM and Southeast Asia.
4. Deep understanding of GAAP, accounting systems, and financial controls.
5. Proficiency in QuickBooks, Excel, and financial reporting tools; experience with Salesforce or staffing ATS/ERP systems is a plus.
6. Strong interpersonal skills, with the ability to lead teams and collaborate across departments.
7. Detail-oriented with strategic thinking and problem-solving skills.
8. Comfortable working in a fast-paced, dynamic, and remote environment.
