Job summary

Creative Financial Staffing, LLC is seeking a hands‑on Controller to lead financial operations for a large manufacturing facility in Whitehall, MI. The role partners with plant leadership to drive profitability and operational performance.

The successful candidate will manage budgeting, forecasting, monthly closes, cost accounting, and internal controls, with a plant‑level P&L exceeding $200M in revenue. Onsite with relocation support available.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in Accounting, Finance, or related field.
• Progressive accounting experience within a manufacturing environment.
• Strong background in cost accounting, standard costing, inventory management, and manufacturing finance.
• Experience overseeing plant‑level P&L responsibility in a complex manufacturing operation.
• Ability to partner with operational leaders and influence business decisions.
• Analytical, communication, and leadership skills.
• Experience with budgeting, forecasting, financial reporting, and internal controls.

Responsibilities

• Lead all plant accounting and financial reporting activities.
• Oversee budgeting, forecasting, financial planning, and monthly close processes.
• Manage and analyze plant P&L with responsibility for a business unit generating more than $200M in annual revenue.
• Partner with operations, supply chain, engineering, and leadership teams to improve financial performance.
• Provide financial analysis related to manufacturing costs, labor, inventory, productivity, and capital expenditures.
• Ensure accurate standard costing, cost accounting, inventory valuation, and variance analysis.
• Drive continuous improvement initiatives focused on profitability, efficiency, and internal controls.
• Support business planning, investment analysis, and operational decision‑making.
• Ensure compliance with corporate policies, accounting standards, and regulatory requirements.
• Lead, mentor, and develop accounting and finance team members.
