Job summary

Goldman Sachs is seeking a Controllers professional to uphold financial control and reporting obligations for a global regulated institution. The role sits in the second line of defense, providing critical analysis and ensuring accuracy of internal and external financial information.

You will work with Hedge Funds and Private Equity groups within Controllers, review valuations, support launches/liquidations, and coordinate with auditors and regulators.

Qualifications

• 4-7 years of related experience in accounting and financial reporting.
• Bachelor’s Degree in Accounting; Master’s preferred.
• CA with experience in alternative investments / private funds is desirable.
• Knowledge of US GAAP, IFRS, and coordinating with Big 4 during audits.
• Strong accounting knowledge of financial products and risk controls.
• Excellent interpersonal and communication skills; able to work in a team.

Responsibilities

• Safeguard assets and reputation by controlling and supporting the asset management division, and ensuring compliance with policies and global regulations.
• Review quarterly / monthly valuations and NAVs for private equity and hedge funds, and review year-end financial statements.
• Support the fund launch and liquidation processes.
• Handle corporate, regulatory and management reporting for funds.
• Work closely with other divisions, including Business Teams, Product Services, Operations, IT and Trading Divisions.
• Work closely with fund administrators and auditors
