Job summary

CS&L CPAs in Sarasota, FL seeks a Controller to lead operations, finance, HR, and administration across multiple office locations. You will partner with firm leadership to optimize performance, improve processes, and support growth while delivering an exceptional experience for staff and clients.

The role offers an onsite office with occasional remote work after 90 days, and travel to Bradenton and Tampa as needed.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in Accounting, Finance, Business Administration, or related field.
• Minimum 5 years of progressive accounting experience in mid-sized professional services.
• Experience in a CPA or law firm preferred.
• Familiar with Intacct, Bill.com, CCH.
• CPA or CMA designation preferred but not required.

Responsibilities

• Lead daily operations across multiple locations in the firm.
• Oversee budgeting, forecasting, payroll, billing, collections, cash flow, and reporting.
• Partner with leadership on strategic planning and growth.
• Streamline workflows using technology and scalable processes.
• Direct HR functions including recruiting, onboarding, benefits, and compliance.
• Manage technology, vendors, facilities, and business continuity.
• Ensure compliance with regulations and internal policies.
• Foster a collaborative, high-performing workplace culture.
• Travel occasionally to Bradenton and Tampa as needed.
