Job summary

CFS in Bradenton, FL is seeking a Controller to lead financial operations, oversee full-cycle accounting, and coordinate annual audits. This role centers on ERP selection and modernization, cost allocation, and month-end close, with a clear path to succession in a stable, team-oriented culture.

You will partner with leadership to implement process improvements, manage WIP/retainage in construction projects, and drive accurate financial reporting for strategic decisions.

Qualifications

• 7-10 years of hands-on accounting experience with financial statement ownership.
• Proven ERP implementation or major system transition experience.
• Exposure to construction accounting (WIP, POC, retainage) preferred.

Responsibilities

• Oversee full-cycle accounting, financial reporting, and annual audit coordination.
• Controller will lead ERP selection, implementation, and ongoing system optimization.
• Manage equipment accounting, depreciation, and cost allocation.
• Own month-end close process and financial statement accuracy.
• Partner with leadership on process improvements and operational insights.
