Job summary

Treasure Island Hotel Casino seeks an experienced accounting leader to oversee GL, AR, AP, fixed assets and reconciliations. You will supervise month-end and year-end closes and ensure GAAP compliance with regulatory requirements.

The role supports budgeting, forecasting and variance analysis, mentoring staff, and coordinating audits with external auditors while preserving data integrity and confidentiality.

Qualifications

  • Bachelor’s degree in Accounting or Finance is required.
  • Master’s degree or CPA is preferred.
  • At least two years of management or supervisory experience.
  • Knowledge of account reconciliations is essential.
  • Strong analytical abilities and deadline-driven work style.
  • Gaming registration may be required; professional appearance a must.

Responsibilities

  • Oversee accounting functions including General Ledger, AR, AP,Fixed Asset and reconciliations.
  • Supervise preparation and review of monthly, quarterly and yearly statements.
  • Coordinate month-end and year-end closings for timely reporting.
  • Maintain internal controls in line with GAAP and regulatory requirements.
  • Support budgeting, forecasting and variance analysis for strategic decisions.
  • Supervise accounting staff; manage workload and provide development feedback.
  • Liaise with external auditors; prepare schedules and documentation.
  • Provide technical support for accounting software, spreadsheets and databases.
  • Assist with billing, tax and licenses documentation.
  • Act as Controller in their absence; ensure confidentiality of sensitive information.
