Job summary

Fahrenheit Advisors' client, a national residential services organization, seeks an experienced Controller to lead and scale the accounting function during rapid growth associated with acquisitions.

Reporting to the CFO, the Controller will own the close, consolidate, and controls, drive system implementations, policy documentation, and a KPI-driven financial framework to support expansion.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in Accounting or Finance required.
• CPA certification strongly preferred.
• 7+ years progressive accounting experience with leadership.

Responsibilities

• Own monthly, quarterly, and annual close with timely reporting.
• Lead consolidation and intercompany elimination for multi-entity structure.
• Develop a disciplined close calendar with target 5-day close (month 6) and 4 days (month 12).
• Ensure US GAAP compliance and policy documentation; act as technical accounting resource.
• Coordinate external audits and serve as primary accounting contact for auditors.
• Oversee treasury, fixed assets, payroll accounting, and journal entries.
• Lead ERP implementations and automation initiatives to reduce manual processes.
• Build scalable processes to support acquisitions and growth.
• Mentor staff and participate in recruiting for accounting team.
