Job summary

Homeward in Austin, Texas is seeking a Controller / Director of Accounting to oversee accounting operations in a high-growth environment. You will lead financial reporting, manage audits, and develop a high-performing team.

The ideal candidate has over 10 years in accounting, CPA preferred, and knowledge of US GAAP. The position offers a base salary of $170k - $180k, annual bonuses, and equity opportunities.

Qualifications

• 10+ years of progressive accounting experience, mixing public accounting and industry.
• Deep knowledge of US GAAP and complex technical accounting matters.
• Experience managing external audits with Big-4 firms.

Responsibilities

• Own month-end, quarter-end, and year-end close processes.
• Prepare GAAP-compliant financial statements.
• Lead external audit relationships with our Big-4 firm.
