Job summary

CFS, a Plainville manufacturing firm, seeks an experienced Controller to oversee accounting, reporting, controls, and decision support. You will manage GL, AR, AP, payroll, and inventory accounting while driving close processes and accuracy across the function.

You will lead monthly/quarterly/annual reporting, strengthen internal controls, and partner with executives to analyze performance, develop KPIs, and guide ERP optimization with teams through system transformations.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in Accounting or Finance.
• 5+ years of progressive accounting or finance leadership experience in a Controller, Accounting Manager, or similar role.

Responsibilities

• Oversee all accounting functions including general ledger, accounts receivable, accounts payable, payroll, fixed assets, and inventory accounting.
• Lead monthly, quarterly, and annual financial reporting while ensuring accuracy, compliance, and timely close processes.
• Strengthen internal controls and ensure compliance with GAAP, SOX, and applicable regulatory requirements.
• Partner with executive leadership to analyze performance, develop KPIs, and drive operational and financial decision-making.
• Recruit, mentor, and develop accounting staff while driving continuous process improvement across the finance organization.
