Job summary

American Terawatt is hiring a Controller to build and lead the accounting function from the ground up, implementing our ERP system and ensuring an accurate, financeable balance sheet. You will work directly with founders to shape policy, set up internal controls, and manage audits for a rapidly growing energy infrastructure company.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in Accounting/Finance required; CPA preferred.
• 7+ years in accounting/finance with controller or senior leadership exposure.
• Experience with ERP systems, budgeting, and multi-entity accounting.
• Strong knowledge of US GAAP and internal controls.
• Capital expenditures, contracts, and project accounting familiarity.

Responsibilities

• Shape accounting strategy for FOAK infrastructure projects and capitalization.
• Build and lead the accounting function, including month-end close and reporting.
• Oversee ERP selection/implementation and external audits.
• Ensure US GAAP compliance and lender/coventures requirements.
• Lead budgeting, forecasting, and cash flow management.
