Job summary

A leading clean energy company based in California is seeking a Controller to establish its accounting function from the ground up. This role will involve managing financial reporting, leading ERP implementation, and building a high-performing accounting team. The ideal candidate will have significant experience in accounting and a deep understanding of U.S. GAAP. A competitive salary range is offered along with comprehensive benefits.

Qualifications

• Minimum 7 years of progressive accounting experience, ideally in-house at a growing company.
• Deep understanding of U.S. GAAP and internal control design.
• Experience leading ERP implementations or major system transitions.

Responsibilities

• Establish internal accounting operations including general ledger, AP/AR, and payroll.
• Prepare and own monthly, quarterly, and annual financial statements in accordance with GAAP.
• Serve as finance lead for implementation of the company's first ERP system.
