Job summary

TerraFlow Energy in Houston, TX is seeking a Controller/Assistant Controller to build and lead the accounting function as the business scales. This hands-on leadership role reports to the VP of Finance and spans financial reporting, multi-entity consolidation, manufacturing accounting, ERP implementation and FP&A.

You will work with Manufacturing, Supply Chain and Operations to establish scalable processes, drive cost control and provide timely, accurate financial visibility to support

Qualifications

• 7+ years of accounting and finance experience with ownership of close and financial reporting.
• Strong U.S. GAAP and multi-entity consolidation experience.
• Hands-on manufacturing accounting experience, including inventory and costing.
• Experience leading ERP implementations; Epicor is a plus.
• Track record building processes, improving controls and developing teams.
• Strong FP&A and cross-functional business partnering skills.
• Energy storage, renewables, infrastructure or high-growth manufacturing experience a plus.
• CPA/CMA preferred.

Responsibilities

• Drive budgeting, forecasting and financial analysis alongside the VP of Finance.
• Support financing activities, tax credit monetization, investor reporting, audits and due diligence.

Controller/Assistant Controller - TerraFlow Energy

TerraFlow Energy is a fast-growing energy storage company developing long-duration battery technology to meet the growing power demands of data centers and critical infrastructure.

Founded in 2024, TerraFlow has built a 4 GW pipeline of signed LOIs, is progressing its first project and is currently raising a Series C to accelerate commercial growth. With major technology companies backing its vision, TerraFlow is scaling its U.S. manufacturing operations and entering an exciting phase of expansion.

Role Overview

TerraFlow is looking for a Controller/Assistant Controller to build and lead its accounting function as the business scales.

Reporting to the VP of Finance, this is a hands-on leadership role spanning financial reporting, multi-entity consolidation, manufacturing accounting, ERP implementation and FP&A. You’ll work directly with Manufacturing, Supply Chain, Operations and senior leadership to build the systems, processes and team needed to support TerraFlow’s growth.

Requirements

• Hands-on manufacturing or industrial accounting experience, including inventory and cost accounting.
• Experience leading or significantly contributing to an ERP implementation; Epicor is a plus.
• A track record of building processes, improving controls and developing teams.
• Strong FP&A and cross-functional business partnering skills.
• High emotional intelligence, clear communication and a proactive, hands-on approach.
• Experience in energy storage, renewables, infrastructure or high-growth manufacturing is a plus.
• CPA/CMA preferred.
