Job summary

NorthPoint Search Group is seeking a hands-on Controller to lead accounting operations in Cumming, GA. The role will own the full accounting function, drive month-end close, ensure GAAP-compliant reporting, and mentor a high-performance team as the business scales.

The ideal candidate has CPA credentials, experience in eCommerce/retail, and a track record of building scalable processes within a growing mid-size company.

Qualifications

• A proven Controller, or a strong Accounting Manager ready to step up.
• eCommerce, retail, or consumer products experience strongly preferred
• Experience in a growing, mid-sized company
• Hands-on experience with Sage Intacct
• A strong leadership and team development mindset
• Able to work both strategically and tactically
• Deep understanding of GAAP and financial reporting

Responsibilities

• Lead all accounting operations, including month-end close, financial reporting, and analysis
• Deliver timely, accurate financial statements in line with GAAP
• Supervise, train, mentor, and develop the accounting team
• Improve processes and build accounting workflows that scale
• Own and optimize the ERP
• Set up and maintain strong internal controls
• Partner with leadership to support business decisions
• Oversee eCommerce accounting, including revenue recognition, inventory, and reconciliation of payment and marketplace data

• Base Salary: Up to $200,000
• Bonus: Up to 20%
