Our client, a well-established, privately owned manufacturing company ($25M revenue), is seeking a hands-on Controller to serve as a trusted financial leader and strategic partner to ownership, overseeing the accounting function across multiple operating companies. This is a newly created position driven by growth, not turnover. While the CEO has historically overseen the financial function with support from a part-time Controller, the company has reached the point where he's ready to bring in a dedicated financial leader who can take ownership of the day-to-day accounting operation while helping identify opportunities to strengthen the business.
The CEO is looking for more than a traditional Controller. He views this person as his right hand and a key business partner, not simply someone responsible for reporting the numbers and closing the books each month. As he shared, he's looking for someone who wants to “leave their DNA on the business.” The ideal person isn't afraid to write their own playbook. They appreciate having the resources and trust to succeed while working for a leader who gives them the space to find the best solution, asks questions, and encourages new ideas. If you're someone who enjoys building, improving, and challenging the status quo, this is an opportunity to make a meaningful impact on a growing business.
