Job summary

Jobot is seeking a Controller for a Commercial Construction GC with experience in GC or sub-contracting. The role oversees consolidated accounting across two divisions, cost-to-cost revenue recognition, and job costing in a fast-growing environment.

The position reports to the Unit President & Corporate CFO and includes a competitive base salary, annual bonus, 6% 401(k) match, and substantial WFH flexibility with 50 pre-approved days per year, plus potential long-term equity.

Qualifications

• 7-10+ years of accounting experience, ideally within construction, engineering, or another project-based industry.

Responsibilities

• Multi-Entity & WIP Expertise: Consolidated accounting across two divisions, cost-to-cost percentage-of-completion revenue recognition, over/under billings, and job costing.
• Operational Tax & Compliance: Managing sales/use tax on materials/exempt jobs, 1099 compliance, and preparing year-end tax schedules for external CPAs (corporate tax returns are handled at HQ).
• Leadership: Directing a team of 5-6, full GL/month-end close, and AIA billings.
