Empower Staffing, Inc. is seeking an experienced Product Controller to own accounting, reporting, and regulatory compliance across a multi-entity fintech organization in NYC.

This hands-on leadership role builds the accounting infrastructure for a fast-growing, global company, operating with the rigor of capital markets while moving quickly. The ideal candidate has 10+ years in accounting within fintech or financial services, deep US GAAP knowledge, and hands-on broker-dealer experience

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in Accounting or Finance required.
• 10+ years of accounting experience in fintech, financial services, or capital markets.
• Broker-dealer accounting experience including net capital compliance and regulatory reporting is required.

Responsibilities

• Oversee accounting and finance operations across multiple entities in the US and other jurisdictions.
• Lead FOCUS Reporting and consolidate financial statements under US GAAP.
• Manage monthly and quarterly close cycles and prepare consolidated statements.
• Build liquidity tracking, treasury functions and cash movement approvals.
• Ensure US GAAP and local statutory/regulatory reporting compliance across all offices.
• Manage capital compliance and regulatory reporting.

The Role

Looking for an experienced Product Controller to own accounting, reporting, and regulatory compliance across a multi-entity organization. This is a hands‑on leadership role for someone who wants to build an accounting infrastructure inside a fast‑growing, global fintech company. Someone comfortable operating with the rigor expected in regulated capital markets while staying nimble enough to keep pace with a company that moves quickly.

What You’ll Do

• Oversee all accounting and finance operations across multiple entities spanning the US and other jurisdictions, including a holdings company, registered broker‑dealer, and other regulated or investment vehicles
• FOCUS Reporting
• Manage monthly and quarterly close cycles and prepare consolidated financial statements in accordance with US GAAP
• Build and maintain liquidity tracking, treasury functions and cash movement approvals.
• Ensure compliance with US GAAP and relevant local statutory/regulatory reporting requirements across all offices
• Manage capital compliance and regulatory reporting

What You’ll Bring

• Bachelor’s degree in Accounting or Finance
• 10+ years of progressive accounting experience with exposure to fintech, financial services, or capital markets
• Deep working knowledge of US GAAP and hands‑on experience leading audits
• Prior hands‑on broker‑dealer accounting and compliance experience required including net capital compliance, FINRA reporting, and regulatory relationship management
