Job description

We are seeking a highly skilled Controller with 8–10 years of progressive accounting experience to lead our accounting operations and ensure the integrity of our financial reporting. The ideal candidate is a CPA with a strong technical foundation in GAAP, consolidations, and internal controls, and hands‑on experience in NetSuite ERP. Experience managing multi-entity organizations is strongly preferred. Prior exposure to the music or entertainment industry is a plus but not required.

Responsibilities

• Direct all accounting operations, including general ledger, accounts payable, accounts receivable, payroll, and fixed assets.
• Lead the monthly, quarterly, and annual financial close and reporting processes.
• Prepare, review, and consolidate financial statements for multiple entities.
• Maintain and enforce a strong system of internal controls and compliance with GAAP.
• Manage external audits, tax filings, and relationships with auditors, tax advisors, and banks.
• Oversee the preparation of budgets, forecasts, and cash flow projections.
• Provide timely financial reporting and insights to support leadership decision‑making.
• Supervise and develop accounting staff, ensuring accuracy, efficiency, and adherence to deadlines.
• Optimize processes, reporting, and automation within NetSuite to improve efficiency and scalability.

Qualifications

• CPA required.
• 8–10 years of relevant accounting experience, including at least 3 years in a leadership role.
• Strong technical knowledge of GAAP and financial reporting.
• NetSuite ERP experience required (implementation, configuration, and reporting preferred).
• Experience with multi-entity consolidations strongly preferred.
• Proven ability to manage audits, compliance, and complex reporting requirements.
• Strong organizational, problem‑solving, and communication skills.
• Music or entertainment industry accounting experience is a plus, but not required.
