Job summary

Talentedge is looking for a Controller as the 1st accounting hire for its Generational AI Lab in the San Francisco Bay Area. This hybrid role will help build the accounting function, automate processes, and partner with cross-functional teams to scale a cutting-edge AI SaaS business.

You will own the close, prepare board materials, and advise on pricing and contract structuring with a focus on US GAAP and IFRS compliance.

Qualifications

• Hyper-growth SaaS startup experience is required.
• Ability to build an accounting function from 0 to 1.
• Experience with an AI-native ERP system such as Rillet or Campfire.
• Experience partnering with Commercial/Legal/Sales on pricing and contracts.
• Strong knowledge of US GAAP and IFRS is essential.

Responsibilities

• Own and evolve the accounting function as the first in the company, driving automation.
• Manage the month-end close and consolidation processes for efficiency.
• Partner with global operational entities and third-party partners.
• Produce monthly Board and Investor materials.
• Provide SME guidance on pricing and contract structuring and revenue recognition.

Key responsibilities to include:

• Continue to build & evolve the accounting function as the only accountant in the business, automating at every opportunity
• Ensure a smooth & efficient month end close consolidation process
• Business partner with 3rd party partners within global operational entities
• Produce and own monthly Board and Investor materials
• Provide subject matter expert advice on pricing and contract structuring as well as ensuring accurate revenue recognition

Profile:

• Hyper-growth scaleup experience, preferably with SaaS and usage-based consumption revenue models
• Demonstrable experience of building accounting functions from 0 - 1
• Preference for candidates who have experience with an AI-native ERP such as Rillet or Campfire
• Significant experience on partnering with Commercial / Legal / Sales teams on pricing and contract structuring
• Strong working knowledge of both US GAPP & IFRS
