Talentedge Recruitment Limited seeks a Controller as its 1st accounting hire for a NYC remote role. You will own the accounting function end-to-end, automate processes, and partner with international teams to ensure accurate revenue recognition and timely close.

The ideal candidate is a Big 4 CPA with SaaS and usage-based revenue experience, capable of building accounting from scratch and aligning pricing with contracts. Equity is part of the package.

Qualifications

• Big 4 CPA required.
• Experience building accounting function from 0–1.
• Strong knowledge of US GAAP & IFRS.

Responsibilities

• Continue to build and evolve the accounting function as the only accountant in the business.
• Ensure a smooth month-end close consolidation process.
• Partner with 3rd party teams across global entities.
• Produce and own monthly Board and Investor materials.
• Advise on pricing and contract structuring and revenue recognition.

Talentedge are delighted to be exclusively partnering with an early-stage AI Lab on their 1stAccounting hire.

Backed by Tier 1 VC's as well as household tech company Founders, Analysts are calling this a once-in-a-generation company who are predicted to shape the future of enterprise AI.

Key responsibilities to include:

• Continue to build & evolve the accounting function as the only accountant in the business, automating at every opportunity
• Ensure a smooth & efficient month end close consolidation process
• Business partner with 3rd party partners within global operational entities
• Produce and own monthly Board and Investor materials
• Provide subject matter expert advice on pricing and contract structuring as well as ensuring accurate revenue recognition

Profile:

• Big 4 CPA
• Hyper-growth scaleup experience, preferably with SaaS and usage-based consumption revenue models
• Demonstrable experience of building accounting functions from 0 - 1
• Preference for candidates who have experience with an AI-native ERP such as Rillet or Campfire
• Significant experience on partnering with Commercial / Legal / Sales teams on pricing and contract structuring
• Strong working knowledge of both US GAPP & IFRS
