Randstad USA has partnered with a fast-scaling client in the Boston North area seeking a sharp, high-ownership Controller to lead accounting operations and financial reporting.

The ideal candidate will drive financial performance, build out a scalable F&A foundation, and advise executive leadership on decisions shaping growth. This hands-on leadership role requires a proactive, numbers-driven professional who thrives in a fast-paced environment.

Qualifications

• Degree in finance or accounting.
• 7+ years of progressive accounting experience (3+ years in leadership).
• Advanced degree preferred.
• Passionate about improving and automating processes and accounting systems.
• Adaptable professional who can roll up their sleeves and dive into the numbers.

Responsibilities

• Financial Close & Reporting: Managing fiscal closes, executive reporting, and accrual accounting with operational commentary on performance.
• Treasury & Cash Management: Leading daily banking activities, cash flow forecasting, compliance, and working capital oversight.
• Core Accounting Oversight: Overseeing AP, billing, collections (DSO), payroll, and fixed asset tracking.
• M&A & System Integration: Driving purchase accounting, due diligence, chart of accounts unification, and workflow automation for add-on acquisitions.
• Audit & Tax Compliance: Serving as primary contact for auditors, risk management/insurance, and tax compliance across units.

Education

Degree in finance or accounting

7+ years accounting experience (3+ years in leadership)

Advanced degree preferred
