The ideal candidate has 6–10+ years of property accounting experience within the real estate industry and will lead a team while partnering with property management and senior leadership on financial matters.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in Accounting, Finance, or related field is required.
• 6–10+ years of property accounting experience in real estate or a related industry.
• Strong understanding of property accounting and financial reporting.

Responsibilities

• Oversee day-to-day property accounting operations.
• Manage monthly, quarterly, and year-end close processes.
• Review journal entries, reconciliations, and general ledger activity.
• Oversee property-level financial reporting and consolidated financial statements.
• Manage cash, accounts payable, and accounts receivable for properties.
• Oversee CAM reconciliations and tenant activity.
• Lead budgeting, forecasting, and variance analysis.
• Ensure accurate accounting for a portfolio of real estate assets.
• Develop and maintain accounting policies and internal controls.
• Coordinate audits and tax reporting.
• Partner with property management and senior leadership on financial matters.
• Lead, mentor, and develop accounting staff.

This role will oversee the property accounting function and be responsible for financial reporting, month-end close, budgeting, and overall accounting operations. The ideal candidate will have 6-10+ years of property accounting experience and a strong background within the real estate industry.

Responsibilities

• Oversee the day-to-day property accounting operations

Compensation: $175K-$200K depending on experience
