As we scale across global markets, we are looking for a skilled Controller to lead and optimize our U.S. financial operations.

Position Summary

DocuSketch is seeking a remote, U.S.-based Controller to oversee our accounting and financial reporting functions. Reporting to the VP of Finance, this role will play a key part in maintaining the integrity of our financial systems, ensuring compliance, and supporting strategic initiatives. This is a hands-on leadership role ideal for someone with SaaS experience, a deep understanding of accounting principles, and a passion for building scalable financial infrastructure.

Key Responsibilities

• Lead all U.S. accounting operations, including general ledger, AR/AP, payroll, and tax compliance.
• Manage the monthly, quarterly, and annual close processes; ensure timely and accurate financial reporting.
• Ensure compliance with U.S. GAAP and support annual external audits.
• Oversee revenue recognition in accordance with ASC 606 for subscription-based services.
• Develop and enforce internal controls, accounting policies, and financial procedures.
• Prepare consolidated financial statements across multiple entities and currencies.
• Collaborate with the FP&A team on budget preparation, forecasting, and variance analysis.
• Track and report key SaaS financial metrics such as ARR, MRR, CAC, CLTV, and churn.
• Manage treasury operations and cash flow forecasting for U.S. operations.
• Work closely with tax advisors to ensure accurate and timely U.S. tax filings.
• Assist with board reporting, investor materials, and financial due diligence.
• Mentor and grow a high-performing finance and accounting team

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in Accounting or Finance; CPA required.
• 7+ years of progressive experience in accounting/finance, including time as a Controller or Assistant Controller.
• Direct experience in a SaaS or subscription-based business environment.
• Strong understanding of ASC 606, U.S. GAAP, and accounting operations.
• Skilled in using accounting and ERP platforms (e.g., NetSuite, QuickBooks Online, Xero).
• Advanced Excel skills; experience with BI/reporting tools is a plus.
• Excellent communication, problem-solving, and team leadership skills.
