JDXpert is seeking a Controller for our fully remote B2B SaaS company to oversee accounting operations, ensure financial compliance, and support our growth and scalability. This role requires deep expertise in revenue recognition (ASC 606), deferred revenue management, and SaaS-specific financial metrics such as ARR and churn. The ideal candidate will be responsible for ensuring accurate financial reporting, optimizing cash flow, and maintaining compliance with GAAP and regulatory requirements.

What You'll Do:

• Manage Accounting Operations: Billing, AR/AP, general ledger, revenue recognition, financial reporting, and tax compliance.
• Oversee Financial Processes: Monthly, quarterly, and annual financial close processes, ensuring compliance with GAAP.
• Lead and coordinate annual financial statement audits and other regulatory audits, serving as primary liaison with external auditors to ensure timely completion and clean audit opinions.
• Financial Reporting: Ensure timely and accurate financial reporting.
• Maintain Internal Controls: Optimize accounting processes, and leverage technology for increased efficiency.
• Ensure Compliance: handle sales tax regulations for SaaS in multiple states.
• Oversee Billing Systems: Ensure accurate invoicing and timely collections.
• Supervise and effectively lead remote accounting teams (1 direct report).
• Continuously improve accounting systems and procedures.

What You’ll Need To Have:

• Active CPA with strong GAAP knowledge.
• 10+ years of progressive accounting experience, including 3+ years in a Controller or Asst. Controller role.
• Excellent analytical and problem-solving skills.
• Familiarity with platforms such as NetSuite, QuickBooks Online, HubSpot, etc.
• Exceptional interpersonal and communication skills that inspire teams and drive results.
• Willingness to travel bi-annually to All-Hands meetings.

As a Bonus, You’ll Have:

• Experience in a B2B SaaS business ($20-50M annual revenues).
• Experience with NetSuite, Maxio, or ERP system implementations.
• Public accounting experience.
• Excellent verbal and written communication skills.
• Proven experience managing remote teams.

This is a remote role, and reports to our Chief Financial Officer.
