Job summary

First Gen Industries LTD is seeking a seasoned Controller to own accounting operations, GAAP reporting, and internal controls in a fully remote role based in the United States. You will lead the close process, ensure audit-ready financials, and provide strategic financial insights to the executive team.

The role requires 10+ years in accounting or finance, 3+ years of people management, a bachelor's degree, and strong Excel and ERP experience.

Qualifications

• 10+ years of professional accounting or finance experience.
• 3+ years of managerial experience, including direct supervision of staff.
• Bachelor's degree in accounting, finance, or a related field.
• Strong working knowledge of GAAP, month-end close, and financial reporting.
• Experience with accounting software and ERP systems, and advanced Excel skills.

Responsibilities

• Oversee all accounting operations, including general ledger, accounts payable, accounts receivable, payroll, and fixed assets.
• Lead the monthly, quarterly, and annual close, ensuring timely and accurate results.
• Prepare and review financial statements in accordance with GAAP.
• Develop and manage budgets, forecasts, and cash flow projections.
• Design, implement, and maintain internal controls and accounting policies.
• Coordinate external audits and tax filings and work with outside CPAs and advisors.
• Manage and develop members of the accounting team.
• Provide financial analysis and reporting to the executive team.
• Evaluate and improve accounting systems, processes, and reporting tools.
• Support compliance with applicable regulatory and financial reporting requirements.

The Role

We are looking for a Controller to own our accounting operations, financial reporting, and internal controls. You will lead the close, make sure our financials are accurate and audit-ready, and give leadership the insight needed to make sound decisions as we grow. This is a hands-on leadership role: you will manage the accounting function and still be close to the details.

What We Offer

• Fully remote position (must be US based)
• Compensation: $130,000 - $150,000 on base + performance bonus
