Job description

The Controller will oversee the accounting department and will report directly to upper management and have direct interaction with the executive team. The Controller will be responsible for managing accounting functions and budgeting/forecasting activities. The Controller will work directly with other departments to develop accurate KPI reporting and help to improve processes.

What will you do?

  • Manage payroll, A/R, A/P, General ledger, cash management, and financial statement maintenance, preparation, and administration.
  • Drive accurate financial reporting through the establishment of departmental controls and procedures.
  • Lead budgeting and forecasting activities.
  • Work with the Inventory team to ensure accurate inventory reporting.
  • Support and have oversight of corporate finance initiatives by assuring the production of timely and accurate financial information and analysis.
  • Review, analyze and interpret results of operations, identify financial and operational issues and make recommendations for change.
  • Support the financial reporting process and ensure timely and reliable reporting.
  • Manage month end closing processes.
  • Provide analysis for cost reduction initiatives.

What are the requirements?

  • Bachelor's Degree in Accounting or Finance.
  • Knowledge of Generally Accepted Accounting Principles.
  • Experience with accounting software and ability to use it to its fullest extent.
  • Experience with Microsoft Office Suite.
  • Excellent organizational skills.
  • Well-developed oral and written communication skills.
  • A drive to continue learning, specifically about the software and technology industries.
  • Ability to prioritize and multi-task.
  • Effective problem-solving skills.
  • Responsible individual with a strong work ethic and analytical mind to play a key administrative role.
  • Strong ability to work independently with little to no supervision.
