Job summary

CFS, a long-standing company in Tulare, CA, is seeking a hands-on Controller to partner with the CFO and bring structure, discipline, and clarity to the accounting function after a major reset. You will own the monthly close, reporting, and general ledger accuracy, while delivering meaningful insights.

You will lead a small team of about five accountants and develop KPIs across operations, cost structure and margins to guide executive decisions.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in Accounting.
• 5+ years of accounting and/or finance experience.
• Experience leading or managing an accounting team.

Responsibilities

• Own the monthly close process, financial reporting, and general ledger accuracy
• Lead job costing, cost accounting, and inventory accounting across the business
• Develop and track KPIs, including debt service coverage ratios and operational metrics
• Prepare management reports and financial analysis for executive leadership
• Oversee cost reporting and margin analysis to support operational decision-making
• Manage and develop a team of approximately five accounting staff
• Maintain and optimize accounting processes
