DTM Executive Search, Inc. is seeking a seasoned Golf Club Controller to oversee all financial operations for a premier Florida private club.

This on-site leadership role partners with club management to drive financial performance, budgeting, and strategic financial planning within GAAP standards. The ideal candidate has hands-on experience in a golf or country club setting, strong expertise in ERP/POS systems, and a proven ability to mentor accounting staff while delivering actionable insights

Qualifications

• Direct accounting or finance leadership experience within a Golf Club or Country Club setting is required.
• Bachelor's degree in Accounting, Finance, or a closely related business field.
• Advanced hands-on experience with industry-specific POS/ERP systems (e.g., Jonas Club Software, ClubEssentials, or similar) and advanced Microsoft Excel skills (vlookups, pivot tables, financial modeling).
• In-depth knowledge of GAAP, internal control frameworks, financial modeling, and operational accounting methods.
• High emotional intelligence, excellent verbal and written communication, exceptional discretion with confidential data, and a detail-oriented analytical mindset.

Responsibilities

• Oversee all core accounting operations, including General Ledger, A/P, A/R, and cash flow management. Prepare monthly, quarterly, and annual financial statements (Balance Sheet, Income Statement) in full compliance with GAAP for leadership review.
• Lead the development and management of the club’s annual operating budget, capital expenditures, and rolling financial forecasts.
• Execute full-cycle payroll processes, ensuring strict compliance with federal, state, and local labor regulations. Maintain secure employee files and resolve payroll inquiries efficiently.
• Establish, monitor, and enforce robust internal control systems to safeguard club assets. Coordinate annual external audits, tax preparation, and regulatory filings.
• Analyze financial trends and operational KPIs to deliver actionable insights, profitability analysis, and cost-containment strategies to senior management.
• Direct, mentor, and evaluate accounting staff to foster a high-performing, collaborative, and results-driven environment.
