Job summary

Kforce's Saint Louis-area client seeks a strategic and hands-on Controller to serve as the senior financial executive for the business in a hybrid role. You will partner with executive leadership to improve profitability, cash flow, and long-term value.

You will lead all accounting and financial operations, including financial reporting, treasury, audit support and internal controls; own cash flow forecasts; and drive disciplined budgeting, forecasting and data-driven decision making.

Qualifications

• 7+ years in accounting leadership with close involvement in financial close.
• Strong background in accounting, financial reporting, forecasting, budgeting, internal controls, and analysis.
• Experience with working capital management, cash flow forecasting, reconciliations, inventory and cost accounting, and audit support.
• Experience leveraging technology and automation to improve reporting and insights.
• CPA preferred, not required.

• Lead the annual budgeting process and implement disciplined forecasting practices.
• Partner closely with sales, operations, production, procurement, logistics, and leadership teams to improve financial outcomes.
• Identify and implement process improvements that enhance reporting accuracy, operational efficiency, automation, and financial transparency.
• Support capital investment decisions and other key business initiatives.

Requirements

• Experience with working capital management, cash flow forecasting, reconciliations, inventory and cost accounting, and audit support
• Experience leveraging technology and automation to improve financial reporting and business insights
• Demonstrated success improving financial processes, reporting quality, and operational controls
• Ability to operate as the senior finance leader within an organization and collaborate effectively across multiple departments
• CPA preferred, not required

The pay range is the lowest to highest compensation we reasonably in good faith believe we would pay at posting for this role. We may ultimately pay more or less than this range. Employee pay is based on factors like relevant education, qualifications, certifications, experience, skills, seniority, location, performance, union contract and business needs. This range may be modified in the future.

Hourly employees are not eligible for paid time off unless required by law. Hourly employees on a Service Contract Act project are eligible for paid sick leave.
