Base pay range

$165,000.00/yr - $180,000.00/yr

Controller- REMOTE

Compensation: $165,000–$180,000 + 20% bonus

CFS is working with a fast-growing, Private Equity-backed organization in the early childhood education space. With over 90 locations across 9 states, this mission-driven company delivers innovative, age-appropriate programs for children while supporting families and communities. The organization is committed to global learning, giving back, and creating a nurturing environment for both children and employees.

Key Responsibilities

• Own the month-end and year-end close process, including reconciliations, G/L analysis, and financial reporting
• Manage cash flow and produce 13-week rolling forecasts
• Design and implement policies, procedures, and internal controls
• Ensure accurate revenue and expense reporting across multiple sites
• Oversee AP, invoicing, collections, and weekly operational reporting
• Lead external audits and annual tax preparation with third-party partners
• Guide financial systems initiatives, including ERP transitions and process optimization
• Monitor compliance with all federal, state, and local regulations
• Develop risk analysis and internal safeguards for financial operations
• Collaborate closely with senior leadership and cross-functional teams
  
  

Qualifications

• 7+ years of progressive career accounting experience, including prior experience in a manager role
• Public accounting audit background required
• Bachelor's in Accounting; CPA required
• Experience with NetSuite ERP strongly preferred
