The Company designs, develops, constructs, and operates biogas powered renewable energy generation systems on dairy farms. Our projects include anaerobic digesters, biogas-powered electric generation, and renewable compressed natural gas upgrading.
Maas Energy Works is seeking a new Financial Controller to oversee our company financial and accounting operations. The Financial Controller will be responsible for ensuring compliance with GAAP regulations, analyzing financial data, monitoring expenditures, forecasting revenue, coordinating auditing processes, and ensuring accuracy of financial reporting. As a fast-growing company in a developing niche industry, the ideal applicant should possess strong problem-solving skills, be highly organized, self-motivated, and have a background and education in accounting.
This job mainly operates in a professional office environment. The role routinely uses standard office equipment such as computers, phones, photocopiers, filing cabinets, and fax machines.
This is largely a sedentary role, however some travel is required. This would require the ability to enter, travel in, and exit vehicles and airplanes.
This position qualifies as exempt under CA Labor Code §515 / IWC Wage Order 4 — Executive exemption. The role is primarily engaged (>50% of work time) in management of the Company or a recognized department/subdivision, customarily and regularly directs the work of two or more full-time employees, and has authority (or makes recommendations given particular weight) to hire, fire, promote, or discipline.
