Job summary

JFS and Associates in Orlando, FL is seeking an experienced Controller to lead and elevate its accounting and finance function.

The role partners with the CFO and senior leadership to implement structure, automation, and controls across GAAP reporting, cash management, and month-end close, with a focus on growth and scalability.

Hybrid schedule and strong emphasis on leadership, automation, and cross-functional collaboration to drive business outcomes.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in Accounting, Finance, or related field.
• 7–10+ years of progressive accounting and finance experience.
• Strong GAAP, financial reporting, and month-end close experience.
• Proven accounting leadership and team development.
• Experience with banking, treasury, cash management, billing and collections.
• ERP/system implementation experience.
• Professional services experience preferred.
• Bilingual English/Spanish is a strong plus.

We are partnering with a rapidly growing professional services organization seeking an experienced Controller to lead and elevate its accounting and finance function.

The organization has experienced significant growth and is looking for a strong leader who can bring greater structure, accountability, automation, and scalability to the finance organization while partnering closely with executive leadership.

What You’ll Do

• Lead the day-to-day accounting and finance function
• Oversee month-end close, financial reporting, and GAAP compliance
• Manage cash flow, banking, treasury, billing, and collections
• Lead, mentor, and develop the accounting team
• Strengthen internal controls, processes, and accountability
• Identify opportunities to automate manual processes
• Evaluate accounting systems and support future system conversions
• Improve reporting and provide meaningful financial insights to leadership
• Partner closely with the CFO and senior leadership as the organization continues to grow

What We’re Looking For

• Bachelor’s degree in Accounting, Finance, or related field
• 7–10+ years of progressive accounting and finance experience
• Strong GAAP, financial reporting, and month-end close experience
• Proven accounting leadership and team-development experience
• Strong banking, treasury, cash-management, billing, and collections exposure
• Experience improving processes and implementing stronger controls
• QuickBooks experience
• ERP/system conversion or implementation experience
• Strong executive presence with a collaborative, servant-leadership approach
• Professional services experience preferred
• Bilingual English/Spanish is a strong plus
