Job summary

Atrium Staffing LLC partners with a private real estate and development company in Orlando to hire a Controller who will lead corporate accounting operations and ensure timely, GAAP-compliant financial statements across all entities.

Reporting to the CFO, the Controller will oversee consolidation, intercompany accounting, budgeting, forecasting, and a planned ERP implementation, delivering scalable, documented processes and strong internal controls.

Qualifications

• 10+ years of progressive accounting experience in a corporate or multi-entity organization.
• Strong experience with consolidation, intercompany accounting, multi-entity reporting, and monthly close management.
• Experience with ERP selection or implementation, chart of accounts design and data conversion.
• Experience managing budgets, forecasts, and cash reporting, with the ability to translate cash activity into GAAP-compliant financial reporting.
• Strong collaboration, communication, and analytical skills, with a focus on operational excellence, accountability, and continuous improvement.

Responsibilities

• Lead the corporate accounting team, including outsourced support, and deliver monthly and consolidated GAAP financial statements for all entities within ten (10) business days of month-end.
• Own intercompany reconciliations, payroll accounting, loan and REO reporting, and full-cycle accounting, with strong policies, SOPs, and internal controls, while coordinating with auditors and tax advisors.
• Own cash reporting and cash-to-GAAP reconciliation, and partner with the CFO on budgeting, forecasting, and capital planning.
• Partner with the CFO and senior systems leader on a planned ERP implementation, including chart of accounts design and data conversion.

Client Overview:

Atrium is partnering with a private real estate and development company in Orlando that is seeking a Controller to join their team.

Salary/Hourly Rate:

$160k - $180k

Position Overview:

The Controller leads corporate accounting operations, including financial reporting, consolidation, intercompany management, and internal accounting processes across all corporate entities. • Strong collaboration, communication, and analytical skills, with a focus on operational excellence, accountability, and continuous improvement.

Preferred Experience/Skills for the Controller:

• CPA designation.
• Real estate development, construction, or property management experience is strongly preferred.

Education Requirements:

• Bachelor’s degree in Accounting, Finance, or a related field is required.
