Job summary

CFS in Orlando, FL is seeking a Controller for our growing AEC practice. This leadership role oversees the accounting function, drives month-end close, and partners with executives to improve reporting and business performance.

You will manage a team, oversee budgeting and forecasting, ensure GAAP compliance, and supervise project accounting including WIP and revenue recognition. Hybrid schedule: 3 days on site, 2 remote.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in Accounting or Finance required.
• 8+ years of progressive accounting experience with leadership responsibility.
• Direct experience within the AEC industry is required.
• Proficiency with Deltek Vantagepoint is required.

Responsibilities

• Lead all accounting operations, including month-end close, financial reporting, and reconciliations.
• Manage and develop a team of accounting professionals, fostering a high-performance culture.
• Oversee budgeting, forecasting, cash flow management, and financial analysis.
• Ensure compliance with GAAP, internal controls, and company policies.
• Partner with executive leadership to provide financial insights and support strategic decision-making.
