Job summary

Creative Financial Staffing, LLC is seeking a Controller for the Norwich, CT area. The role offers direct partnership with the GM and CFO and a broad remit across accounting, finance, operations, and strategic projects in a lean environment.

You will lead a growing accounting team, manage month-end close, budgeting, forecasting, and external audits, while driving process improvements in a manufacturing/construction context. Competitive salary and bonus potential.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in Accounting required.
• 7+ years of progressive accounting and leadership experience.
• Manufacturing or construction industry experience preferred.
• Public accounting professionals with manufacturing client experience are strongly encouraged to apply.

• The Controller will lead, mentor, and develop the accounting team while overseeing day-to-day accounting operations.
• Manage the month-end close process, financial statement preparation, and review of accounting activities.

• Deliver financial reporting, variance analysis, and pricing insights to management.
• Coordinate external audit activities and identify opportunities to improve processes and controls.
