The ideal candidate has 3+ years as a Financial Controller in construction, with a Bachelor’s in a related field and strong analytical skills.

Qualifications

• Minimum of 3 years of direct experience as a Financial Controller.
• 3+ years of experience with a construction company.
• Bachelor's degree in Accounting, Finance, Business, or related field.
• Strong understanding of financial reporting, accounting principles, and financial analysis.
• Proficiency in Microsoft Office applications.

Responsibilities

• Oversee cash management, fixed assets, general ledger, accounts receivable, accounts payable, and payroll.
• Ensure accurate financial records and maintain accounting policies and internal controls.
• Prepare monthly financial statements and present results to management.
• Maintain and review work-in-progress (WIP) schedules at month-end.
• Develop, monitor, and communicate monthly and annual operating budgets.
• Monitor cash flow, working capital, billing, and collections.
• Complete required federal and state regulatory filings and reports.
• Lead accounting personnel, including hiring, performance evaluations, discipline, and termination decisions.
• Perform additional duties as assigned by senior finance leadership.
