Job summary

Ascendo Resources in New York is seeking a Financial Controller to work closely with the CFO. You will oversee day-to-day financial operations, produce timely and reliable financial reports, and provide variance analysis to support strategic decisions.

This role is a 3 days on-site and 2 days remote position, offering a compensation range up to $130,000 per year, plus bonus and comprehensive benefits. You will collaborate with auditors, lenders, and tax advisors to ensure financial integrity.

Qualifications

• 6+ years of accounting experience including audit, bank reconciliations, margin reviews, sales tax, and consolidations.
• Inventory experience preferred; familiarity with prepaids and accruals.
• Bachelor's degree in accounting or related field.

Responsibilities

• Perform month end closings for parent company and 5 subsidiaries (including 2 overseas entities).
• Coordinate year-end review for parent company as well as several yearly audits related to union collective bargaining agreements.
• Work with operations department to understand internal labor costs and margins on local jobs.
• Partner with an accounting staff of 6 people including AR and AP departments.
• Create quarterly financial statements related to bank covenants.
• Various other responsibilities on a day-to-day basis.

Growing manufacturing company in business for over 60 years is seeking a Financial Controller to work closely with the CFO.

As the Financial Controller, you will oversee the day-to-day financial operations. The Financial Controller will also be responsible for producing timely and reliable financial reports, providing variance analysis and insights to support strategic management decisions. In addition to working closely with external business partners (auditors, lenders, tax accountants).

This is a 3 days on-site and 2 days remote schedule with a compensation range up to 130K with bonus and benefits.

The ideal Financial Controller holds the following experience:

• 6+ years of accounting experience with audit, bank reconcilations, reviewing margins, sales tax, consolidations.
• Inventory experience would be a plus. Understands accounting and prepaids, and accruals.
