Job summary

Synerfac Technical Staffing in New Jersey seeks a Controller to manage financial and accounting procedures, establish cash controls, and reconcile bank statements and ledgers.

The role partners with executive leadership to enhance financial performance, oversees GL, AP/AR, payroll, budgeting, audits, and ensures ISO 9001 compliance and accurate banking relationships.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in Accounting, Finance, or related field
• 5+ years of experience in similar Controller, Accounting, Financial role
• Must be able to work Monday to Friday from 8:30am to 5pm
• Experience using manufacturing planning and reporting software systems

Responsibilities

• Partner with the President to improve financial performance and provide analysis for business decisions, projects, and investments
• Oversee accounting operations including general ledger, AP/AR, payroll, benefits, cash controls, and financial records
• Manage monthly, quarterly, and year-end close processes, financial reporting, audits, and analysis for leadership and the parent company
• Maintain internal controls, ISO 9001 compliance, banking relationships, vendor accounts, and overall financial accuracy

Job description

The Controller is responsible for the company’s financial and accounting procedures. They establish and maintain cash controls and reconciliation of bank statements and general ledgers. They assist senior management in the preparation of the organization’s annual budget and annual audit. Oversee that financial policies and procedures follow what management has implemented.

Responsibilities:

• Partner with the President to improve financial performance and provide analysis for business decisions, projects, and investments
